We will not only let you know if we are in-network with your insurance carrier, but we will also verify your benefits based on your child’s age and diagnosis. We never want children to receive an evaluation or begin services in our practice unless we have fully explained your anticipated insurance coverage and expected out-of- pocket costs. We also want to be sure that we have all pertinent prior authorizations in place before we schedule an evaluation in order to limit the potential for claim denials with your insurance carrier.

Let us discuss with you the best time of the day for your child so we can schedule an evaluation that is stress free and will allow your child’s therapist to truly get to know your child and understand your concerns and goals. Our office staff will want to check your insurance benefits before scheduling an evaluation as many insurance carriers require prior-authorizations to be in place before we see a child. After you’ve had your insurance coverage verified and have scheduled an evaluation, you will be contacted by your child’s therapist so that he or she may introduce themselves to you and answer any questions you might have prior to your appointment. Your child’s therapist may ask you for a bit of background information so that she can have the most appropriate evaluation environment set up for your child when you arrive for your appointment. If you have chosen to provide your cell phone number you will also receive a text message reminder of your child’s evaluation the evening before your appointment; this can be very helpful for busy parents, so please consider choosing this option.
